MSE Week 18 NFL Power Rankings

The NFL has an officiating problem. Yes, I know, that’s not news. However, after the debacle in Dallas involving the Lions and Cowboys, it’s become more obvious than ever. Obviously, the owners will never fund full time officials, but something has to be done. What that is? I don’t know.

NFL POWER RANKINGS TOP 10

1. BALTIMORE RAVENS (13-3). The Baltimore Ravens are the best team in football at this time. They dismantled Miami and it looked almost effortless. When Lamar is on like he was, nobody is beating that team. Now, the AFC playoffs go through Baltimore. Watch out for a Dalvin Cook signing if he clears waivers.

2. SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS (12-4). Like the Ravens, they have locked up home field advantage through the playoffs. They have had their struggles, though I don’t see anyone going there and beating them.

3. MIAMI DOLPHINS (11-5). Yes, they got drubbed by the Ravens, but this is still a very good team. They will have a big test against Buffalo for the division crown.

4. CLEVELAND BROWNS (11-5). They keep winning and they have the defense to go anywhere and be in any game. Joe Flacco revival is in full effect.

5. DALLAS COWBOYS (11-5). Controversial win but they are a week 18 victory from winning the NFC East and clinching the 2 seed. Ceedee Lamb continues to dominate opposing defensive backs.

6. DETROIT LIONS (11-5). Controversial loss but they are the NFC North champs and can still get the 2 seed with Dallas and Philadelphia losses. Jared Goff has to protect the ball better going into the playoffs.

7. BUFFALO BILLS (10-6). If they can beat Miami, they win the division and become the team nobody wants to play in the playoffs. That is, depending on which Josh Allen shows up.

8. KANSAS CITY CHIEFS (10-6). They got it done against the Bengals, but this isn’t the same Chiefs team. Can they recover some of that magic in playoffs?

9. LOS ANGELES RAMS (10-6). Not super impressive win over the Giants but they have been one of the hottest teams. They will be a tough out whoever they play.

10. PHILADELPHIA EAGLES (11-5). They are imploding before our very eyes. The locker room is at odds, and they are struggling to hold leads. That loss to the Cardinals was brutal.

IF THE NFL DRAFT WAS TODAY, TOP 5 PICKS

1. CHICAGO BEARS. Last week we traded Fields and drafted Caleb Williams. This week, we are keeping Fields and getting him a weapon. WR Marvin Harrison Jr

2. WASHINGTON COMMANDERS. Sam Howell is most likely out. So they’ll need a replacement. QB Caleb Williams

3. NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS. I guess this depends on if they make a head coaching change. They need a QB, regardless of who the coach is. QB Drake Maye

4. ARIZONA CARDINALS. Let’s say they keep Kyler Murray. They need weapons and help up front. OT Olu Fashanu

5. NEW YORK GIANTS. They need playmakers on the outside. WR Malik Nabers
